What sort of events suit live illustration?

Live illustrations suit all sorts of events. I’ve worked at everything from brand activations, to weddings, to big galas, to small and intimate VIP events. I even illustrated live at a movie premiere! If you want to add a truly special and unique experience to your event, I’m your girl :)

How long does each illustration take? 

One person take anywhere between 6-8 mins to illustrate, however it depends on the complexity of the outfit. A beautiful Zimmermann dress with an intricate pattern may take up to 10 minutes, but an outfit in one solid colour will be much quicker. Also the more people per illustration, the longer it will take to draw.

Can you illustrate more than one person per drawing?

I can and do, however I like to limit it to two people per illustration, so that as many people as possible have the opportunity to be drawn and to take a custom artwork home.

What size is each illustration? 

Each illustration is drawn on A5 size, smooth 300gsm card stock. Other sizes can also be accommodated on request. 

How does it all work? 

Usually it works on a first come, first served basis, but depending on the format of the event it can work in a few different ways. I take a list of names and a photo, with the completed illustrations collected once completed or at the end of the event. If there are specific people you would like illustrated, I can prebook them in. Either way, I always recommend getting in early, because once the word is out, spots book up quickly!

What do I need to supply for you at the event? 

I supply the paper customised to your event with your logo or event name, as well as all the art materials. I just require a desk, a chair and an area with really good lighting. 

What materials do you use? 

I use only the highest quality art materials and markers to ensure your guests received a high quality piece of custom artwork.

Do you draw different styles and subject matters? 

Absolutely! I draw everything from beauty portraits to full length fashion illustrations, to families, to pets!  Depending on the client’s requirements, I can draw in an array of styles or subjects to meet your needs. 

How do I book? 

The first step is to email me at hello@kailisaba.com to check my availability and request pricing. If I am available for your event, and you wish to go ahead, I will send you an online booking form to complete. There is also a 50% deposit to secure the date. I hope to hear from you soon!
